Gay, lesbian, bi, trans, or queer, you’re welcome here.

St. John’s is proud to be deeply committed to love and justice for all people—no matter who they love, how they identify, or how they express themselves.

Our community includes both LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ folks who are drawn to God’s desire of radical inclusion, warmth, and love for all of our neighbors. We celebrate LGBTQ Pride every year with an annual Dolly Church Pride Service at the beginning of June.

We’re committed to inclusion beyond our church walls.

St. John’s belongs to the Presbyterian Church (USA) denomination.

Since 2010, we have ordained openly LGBTQ+ ministers, and since 2014, we have conducted same-sex marriage ceremonies.

In 2018, we affirmed our commitment to the full welcome, acceptance, and inclusion of transgender people, people who identify as gender non-binary, and people of all gender identities within the full life of the church and the world. We went further to lament how our policies and actions have caused gifted, faithful, LGBTQIA+ Christians to leave the church.
