St. John's Presbyterian, San Francisco

Easter Sunday, April 15, 1906, was the first service held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church here at 25 Lake Street. Three days later, the church was heavily damaged in the Great Earthquake of 1906. It took one year to repair the damages and re-open for worship.

100+ years later, our beautiful church has a sanctuary that is “Safe, Open and Real” but needs to be maintained. Thus, we are asking you to be part of our Capital Campaign to raise money over the next year for the following:

The stained glass windows need to be restored
The pews need to be refurbished
The lighting in the sanctuary must be updated
Solar panels should be installed to “green” our church

(see attached for list of Special Designated Gift Opportunities)

Contributions to St. John’s are tax deductible for IRS purposes. Gifts may also be made in memory of others. Donors will be recognized appropriately (or remain anonymous) i.e. on a Donor Wall or Donor Plaque. You can also bequeath a certain amount to St. John’s to ensure that we continue to be a viable place of worship for the next 100 years. Please see your tax advisor regarding specific tax planning.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
