St. John's Stained Glass Window Restoration Project 2005 | Back

PROCEDURE: John Lenox facilitated the creation of a brand new, rot-resistant, cedar wood sash to replace the old rotten wood frame. He used large expanses of protective laminated glass to protect the outside of the stained glass window. To allow for the movement of air in the space between glazing and leaded window, ventilation holes were cut into the sash and covered with small screens.
